Fun times were had by all as they serenaded the birthday boy with birthday wishes before he was presented with a special cake from Mina Kwon.
The following day, Pharrell took to his Twitter to show his appreciation for the special night:
So thankful for the birthday wishes, last night’s party and all the artists who’ve ever allowed me to create music for them.
Nicki Minaj is stripping down in the pages of ELLE. The queen of the Barbz trades in her colorful wigs, makeup, and eccentric wardrobe for a more natural look in the magazine’s April issue.
The rap diva struts for the camera in some designer threads including a Jeremy Scott bathing suit, Dolce & Gabbana bustier, and leather Tom Ford jacket. Inside the issue, she talks about her dramatic “make-under,” being bullied as a child, her advice to women, and plans for world domination.
On her “make-under”: “To go in front of the camera, without pink lips or big ol’ crazy lashes—you know, nothing—I felt naked. It was scary! So this photo shoot was a real accomplishment in my eyes.”
On being bullied as a child: “I went through a lot of bullying early on. Girls made my life a living hell. We had come to America from a different country. My brother and I had accents. It was very tough. So I’ve always put up this wall—it was a self-defense mechanism growing up—because I was almost expecting people to attack me. And I still have it. It’s sad.”
Her advice for women: “My advice to women in general: Even if you’re doing a nine-to-five job, treat yourself like a boss. Not arrogant, but be sure of what you want—and don’t allow people to run anything for you without your knowledge. You want everyone to know, Okay, I can’t play games with her. I have to do right by this woman. That’s what it’s all about.”
On her plans for world domination: “My goal in the beginning was to buy my mother a house. Now I realize, Okay, if I really focus and become a key player in business, then I can build an empire. I’m thinking of a legacy that I can be proud of and wealth that my grandchildren can use to go to college. So world domination—in terms of providing for my family—is absolutely my goal.”

Nicki Minaj held a press conference for the launch of her lifestyle brand, the Nicki Minaj Collection, at Fig & Olive in West Hollywood on Friday. The blonde Barb sported bangs and showed off her curves in a white dress before taking the podium to answer questions from the media.
“This is a very exciting moment for me,” she told reporters. “Teaming up with Kmart and ShopYourWay.com is gonna give me a way to have my fans dress like me for an affordable price and it’s going to be rich stuff, quality stuff. My big thing is that it cannot look cheesy and cheap, and that’s what I want to give my beautiful Barbz.”
The “American Idol” judge will oversee the design and development of the brand so that it reflects her unique style. “Everything I do is a true representation of me,” she said. “It’s very important that I’m not just slapping my name on something.”
The diverse line will include everything from accessoriessuch as hats and earrings to “cooky crazy” leggings to classic pieces you can wear to work. “I’ve been feeling so romantic and sexy lately, so dresses have to be in the line,” said Nicki.
The Nicki Minaj Collection will be available at select Kmart locations and online beginning this year. Fans can log on to ShopYourWay.com in the months ahead to get a behind-the-scenes look leading up to the launch.
The “Freaks” came out on set of French Montana’s video for his new single featuring Nicki Minaj. The Bad Boy rapper and Young Money diva went in front of the lens with director Eif Rivera (“Ocho Cinco”) in L.A. on Monday.
The clip called for some voluptuous ladies, who worked thefloor while twerking to the dancehall-infused record off French’s upcoming debut Excuse My French, due May 21.
The Ciroc was flowing as French rocked furs and designer threads by Alexander McQueen, while his co-star Nicki wore curly blonde hair in her scenes. The song’s producer, Rico Love, also stopped by to make a cameo.
