Beyoncé and Jay-Z are the proud parents of a baby girl. The superstar couple welcomed a daughter on Saturday night in New York, according to multiple sources.
The baby was born via scheduled C-section at Lenox Hill Hospital. E! News reports that her name is Blue Ivy Carter, which close friend Gwyneth Paltrow confirmed in a tweet.
Their pal Rihanna was among the first to congratulate the new parents. “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih,” she tweeted.
Music mogul Russell Simmons also chimed in with his well wishes. “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”
